María Elena Morales Cárdenas (Chihuahua, Mexico, April 19, 1978), also known as Elena Morales, is the eldest daughter of Ma Elena Cárdenas and José Morales. Elena grew up in a traditional Mexican family with her two brothers, Jose and Luis Noel. Elena showed a great interest in school, which led her to finish her education at a very early age. She graduated with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Chihuahua II at the age of 21. After graduating, she joined Lear Corporation as a Process Engineer.
In 2001, he decided to emigrate to the United States with the intention of improving his English language skills. In 2002, she started a new job as a packaging engineer in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, where she remained for 5 years.
In 2003, she married Mr. Marco Santana, with whom she had two children, Eileen (January) and Marco (December) in 2006. In 2007, she started a new position at Siemens VDO/Continental Automotive, as a Packaging Engineer, however, by 2008, she entered the corporate purchasing area, performing various functions.
In 2011, she transferred with her family to Auburn Hills, Michigan, where she continued to grow in the purchasing department.
In 2017, together with her husband, they decided to create SMTAutomation LLC, a company dedicated to the design and integration of automation machinery. In 2020, Elena earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Currently, in 2023, Elena continues to be the successful owner of her business, where she offers opportunities for new generations in the U.S. and Mexico.
