Scarlett Idema, Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of “Medicina Scarlett, LLC”, is a passionate health leader committed to providing comprehensive primary care and transforming her community.
From the beginning of her career, Scarlett has combined strong clinical training with entrepreneurial skills to create “Medicina Scarlett, LLC”, a project launched in March 2024 with the goal of offering accessible, high quality, and personalized medical services. Her approach focuses not only on patients’ medical needs but also on respecting their cultural context. Under her leadership, the clinic fosters an inclusive environment where patients are able to communicate in their own language— building trust and encouraging active participation in their care.
With a holistic approach, Scarlett works closely with each individual to design sustainable health plans tailored to their lifestyle. Her vision has fueled the clinic’s growth in Southwest Detroit, where it now serves hundreds of patients—particularly in underserved communities. Thanks to her empathy and inclusive leadership, she has built long-lasting relationships and a strong reputation for compassionate professionalism.
As an advocate for equitable healthcare access, she is actively involved in community and public health programs that aim to break down barriers and ensure more people receive the care they need.
