Carolina Puerta-Estevez is the founder and CEO of “HR-BIS”, a bilingual, minority woman-owned business specializing in international human resources, career coaching, and support for small to medium-sized businesses. With over 20 years of global HR experience, she has earned consistent 5-star praise for her expertise in developing HR programs, personalized career coaching, and professional development. Clients across the U.S. and internationally credit her with helping them secure jobs, build confidence, and navigate successful career transitions.
Beyond individual coaching, “HR-BIS” assists small businesses with policy creation, compliance, bilingual training, recruiting, and digital program implementation. Carolina is recognized for her people-first approach and practical, results-driven strategies.
She also leads “Puerta Tours”, a family-owned business offering beachfront vacation rentals on Spain’s Costa Tropical in Granada. The Puerta family combines local knowledge, comfort, and adventure to provide authentic travel experiences—where guests can ski, hike, visit The Alhambra and swim in the Mediterranean all in one day. With modern amenities and personalized recommendations, Carolina ensures stays become immersive memorable journeys.
Her family pioneers the cultivation of Arabica coffee among tropical fruit trees, introducing one more subtropical product to the unique micro-climate in The Tropic of Europe, in Granada, Spain’s Costa Tropical.
A Ferris State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business, Carolina served nearly six years on the West Michigan Council, supporting scholarships for students facing hardships. Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and living between Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Almuñécar, Granada, Spain, she seamlessly blends her multicultural roots into her work.
